Setting out maths problems correctly is a big deal.
Incorrect (or totally absent!) setting out will lose your teen precious exam marks. Firstly, examiners need to be able to see what the heck is going on. Secondly, it’s often the case that your teen actually gets marks for showing the correct ‘inbetween’ steps.
Also, setting out work properly will massively reduce the number of silly little mistakes every teen inevitably makes.
Explaining in writing how your teen should be setting out their math problems would be quite a challenge, so instead of an article we thought it would be a nice change to show how in a video…
In our latest video package we show your teen how to study for math (at any level), how to set out equations properly, and how to break down word problems (with instructional videos just like this one).
